We kicked off my birthday weekend with a lovely workshop that aimed to bring the best out of the beautiful ladies in attendance both on the inside and on the outside.

Make Me Up, a fun play on words by my beautiful friend Martine De Luna- who was our emcee for the fun-filled day.

After her introduction, I gave some words of inspiration and shared my story with everyone. Talking about my positive mindset, and journey as a person to get to where I am now. All of this, of course, after we had a little selfie session to break the ice.

I spoke about my journey in life. How I ventured out into to the world of pageantry and used my positive mindset to win crowns and use them as a platform to spread positivity to people on an international level. From the moment I won the Miss Philippines Australia tittle I realized that a crown on my head gave me more of a positive influence on people’s lives. I then went on to join Bb. Pilipinas where I bagged the Bb. Pilipinas World crown and was given the opportunity to spread happiness on an international stage, Miss World. I wore the Philippines sash with pride and eventually made it to the Top 5. I was not crowned Miss World that night, but I kept a positive mindset and had faith that God had another beautiful future planned out for me. And He did.

I then continued modeling and went into marketing, PR, and talent management- where I find happiness in seeing others succeed. As I always say, my passion is seeing other’s passions awaken. I now have five kids, and am happily married to the man of my dreams.

Aside from my story, I gave tips on three things I am passionate about:

To Inspire.

To make a difference.

To be happy.

After my talk, we learned more about the technical side of makeup and what/ how to apply by the talented Acie Fores. She showed us how to feel beautiful on the outside. Teaching us a ton of new tricks and answered a lot of questions that have been on my mind for a while.

Her portfolio was amazing, and her passion inspired me to love makeup even more. I realized that as my time as a model and a beauty queen- I didn’t really think much of it. But through the years I’ve been appreciating it more and more.

She does bridal, weddings, proms, debuts, and any special events. So if ever you’re in need of a makeup artist, you know who to call!

Here she is working on beautiful Mafae Management model- Frances Laman.

Her second model was none other than fellow Mafae Management model- Ricci Jereza

Artist and Muses!

I am so happy that the workshop was a success! And I’m so glad that I got to do it with two powerful and inspiring women, Martine and Acie. Congrats, beautifuls!
