We started of the new year the right way by having a road trip to the beach! We decided to stay a couple of nights in the ever so fun Pico De Loro.
Road trips with the family are always a good idea. You can feel anticipation in the air, and nothing beats escaping the city for some fresh air- away from the pollution and traffic.
We got there in about two hours. When we hopped off the van, the kids stretched and danced around- glad to have finally arrived.
Noah was very excited to be on the beach again. The last time he went, he didn’t know how to walk yet, and stayed with us in the stroller watching his brothers and sisters enjoy the beach. This time he joined them and really liked the sand between his toes! Look at that smile!
Lola Melba relaxing and enjoying the sunset.
Three generations of Verdadero women! I love you Mama and Lola
On our second day at Pico De Loro, we celebrated Nico and Izzy’s birthday on the beach. It was their first time celebrating their birthday together in a while!
The birthday boys!
We made a quick visit to the beautiful church they had and experienced their beautiful view that overlooked the ocean.
On the way back to the club, we took another stop and crossed the shaky bridge! Izzy and Mike kept shaking it to scare everyone lol. It was so nice to see everyone have a good time here.
And then we put on our bowling shoes for a little bowling action.
Mama is a pro! Here she is giving tips to Mike.
Fresh off the alley, the kids jumped into the other pool and basked in the sun with this beauty as a view.
The kids spent their last morning in Pico De Loro on the beach agin. This time they were fascinated to find that they had actually been swimming with fishes the whole time! Transparent little fishes swam in groups around their feet like their legs were playgrounds!
I think we all felt the same way Noah did as we were leaving the beach.
We had an amazing stay in Pico De Loro! Thank you to my mare Cherry for making everyone smile!
